2022 has been a great year for us at AS Sports, we’ve resurfaced and completed installations across the UK for a variety of sports. Schools, clubs, sports centres and even a parish council! We’d like to take this opportunity to look back on the completed projects and say thank you to the support and praise we’ve received.
Cricket Installations
Little Paxton Parish Council
We supply and install all types of non turf cricket match wickets, undertake repairs, maintenance and re-marking. We installed a cricket wicket for Little Paxton Parish Council over the summer. Being sent photos of the wicket being used and looking great made us happy to know that it’s making such a difference to the Parish Council.
Multi Use Games Areas Installations
Multi use games areas are popular choices for schools with limited space and funding. Enabling multiple sports to be played on the surface using the best materials that are completely adaptable to different situations.
Calder High School, Hebden Bridge
We supplied a Multi Use Games Area in June for Calder High School in Hebden Bridge. The project’s aim was to transform a block of courts that were no longer working for the school or the type of activities they used them for. We supplied, and delivered, a design that created a level area that was suitable for a large selection of sports. Calder High School were delighted with the results of the Multi use games area, helping to transform the scope of their physical curriculum.
Hockey Pitch Installations
We pride ourselves in our hockey pitch installations and they’ve become one of our most sought after sports installations. We’ve even resurfaced a hockey pitch for the UK’s biggest hockey club, Beeston Hockey Club, Nottingham Hockey Centre.
Maidstone Hockey Club

“AS Sports are professional, flexible and reliable, They are more personable than larger outfits and less “corporate.” All work was done to a high standard, completed early with no surprises.”
Surbiton School, Esher
Hockey pitch installed in July.
“I have found working with Andy and his team to be excellent. I would certainly recommend AS Sports to other schools.”
Nottingham Hockey Centre
Home to Beeston Hockey Club, we installed an electric blue hockey pitch in Spring 2022 that had to have FIH global standard synthetic turf. We have a great long-standing relationship with the Nottingham Hockey Centre, the largest hockey centre in the UK. Our relationship has grown over the years, with A S Sports being their first choice for hockey pitch maintenance. We have supplied quality of workmanship, dedicated customer service and aftercare to ensure they remain the leading Hockey venue in the Midlands.
Football Pitch Installations
Stafford Soccer Centre
Stafford Soccer Centre also known as Beaconsfield required a 3G football pitch in August but had a very tight deadline. We installed the football pitch with just a 3 week turnaround. There was a huge demand for a new pitch with a greater need from Sport England & Staffordshire Football Association for more 3G playing surfaces and football pitches.
“We could not be happier with the service we have received from AS from quotation to completion. The end result looks fantastic and the project was completed in budget and on time.”
The Colne School, Colchester

2022 in Numbers
As well as our many installations and projects over 2022, we have achieved some pretty incredible stats and milestones. Who would have thought that we would have installed 15km of inlaid lines or drank 4,680 cups of tea on-site!? Well, it is thirsty work…
The biggest achievement for us is being awarded 11 international performance accreditations for schools and clubs across the UK. More importantly, providing 50,000+ hours of play on pitches and courts!
These are just some of our project highlights from 2022 but you can see all of our projects and installations as well as all our client testimonials. We pride ourselves on building great relationships that last years, so we’re always the first point of contact when it comes to resurfacing and sports surfacing installations.
If you’re looking to resurface your sports surface in 2023, why not get in touch? Our calendar is already getting filled up so there’s no time like the present to discuss your plans and see how we can help.
