Yorkshire Main Miners Welfare – Football & Multi-Sports
The Yorkshire Main Miners Welfare Club in Doncaster were in desperate need of a new multi-sports area capable of both Football use and additional sports. The club is a crucial part of the community and caters for sports of all ages and abilities.
Installation Date: November 2022.
The Brief:
The Yorkshire Main Miners Welfare Club’s former sports area was disused, tired and in dire need of renovation to bring it back to life. The project took approximately 4 years from the first site to completion due to funding and the pandemic. The disused sports area has been transformed into a top of the range sports facility that the whole community can benefit from.
The project was funded by the Cruyff Foundation and Sport England and took five weeks to complete the installation.
Scope of Works:
- Extensive works on the base
- Integrated goal units
- Floodlight upgrade to LED
- Fencing replacement to incorporate the Cruyff Foundation colours of blue and orange
- New 4G synthetic surface with the distinctive Cruyff Foundation centre circle logo
