Stonyhurst College – Multi-Sports

Challenge

Stonyhurst College’s water-based pitch was in need of a complete overhaul. The existing surface had deteriorated over time and no longer provided the performance needed for hockey and football. The goal was to transform the pitch into a high-performance, bespoke synthetic surface suitable for both sports, while also updating the facility’s appearance with new signage and branding.

Solution

We completely resurfaced the water-based pitch, installing a top-quality, custom-designed synthetic surface to meet the school’s needs. The project included:

• A bespoke multi-sport synthetic surface for both hockey and football
• Custom hockey and football goals tailored to the school’s requirements
• A new logo mat and updated signage to enhance the overall look and feel of the facility

This transformation ensured the pitch was not only functional but also aligned with the school’s identity.

Results

The resurfaced pitch was unveiled during a fantastic opening ceremony in May 2023, which included a blessing by Fr Tim. The new pitch now offers Stonyhurst College students a state-of-the-art facility that can support a wide range of sports and activities, providing a premium playing surface for years to come.
