A S Sports Systems issued and won the tender award, for the resurface of the existing Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP) at De Lacy Academy in Knottingley, West Yorkshire.
This included localised area repairs to the base, stone re-grading. We supplied and installed CC Grass Ultimate 60X-13 Football artificial grass. It was supplied and applied to the sports pitch and surrounds, with in-laid line markings. Once installed it was infilled with sports grade silica sand and SBR rubber, to the recommended rates.
Extras included:
- Testing to ‘Football Association’ (FA) standards.
- Ball-stop fencing repairs and upgrades.
Upon completion the surface was tested and passed FA performance standards.

The work was completed to our usual high standards, and Nathan Reid, Assistant Facilities Manager for the school said the following of the new Interplay surfaces;
