We got started on a fantastic pitch refurbishment

We got started on a fantastic pitch refurbishment project for @hallgroveschool in Surrey this week, working alongside Traction Sports. Stay tuned for updates!

The majority of stadiums in both rugby league and

The majority of stadiums in both rugby league and union have natural grass, however, there’s a growing number of stadiums opting for artificial grass due to the range of benefits these surfaces offer. Here are a few..

- Natural grass pitches can handle between 2-6 hours of use per week on average. Artificial grass, on the other hand, can withstand between 60-80 hours of use per week.

- Natural turf requires regular mowing, watering and fertilising. Artificial grass simply requires regular brushing.

- Natural grass pitches will develop lumps, bumps and holes over time, resulting in an uneven, dangerous surface. With synthetic turf, the height and thickness of every blade is perfectly uniform, making for consistent ball behaviour.

Looking for an artificial grass rugby pitch of your own? We’d be happy to help. Check out the link in our bio to learn more.

If properly maintained, a high-quality artificial

If properly maintained, a high-quality artificial grass pitch can easily withstand a decade of use. However, when it starts to show signs of wear and tear, it’s time for a resurface.

There are plenty of benefits that come with resurfacing your sports surface. Swipe to learn about five of these advantages.

Last year, we had a great time refurbishing the Blackburn @rovers Indoor Centre, fondly known as the BRIC.

We were happy to see it in use on the club’s social media recently for junior football, looking as good as the day it was installed 👏

The 3G vs 4G turf debate has been controversial in

The 3G vs 4G turf debate has been controversial in recent years, with the sports surfacing industry being somewhat divided. Both surfaces have their pros and cons, so let’s take a look at what makes them unique.

3G pitches are…
- Sand and rubber filled,
- Weatherproof and free-draining,
- Able to withstand intensive usage,
- Recognised & accepted as a certified playing surface by football and rugby international governing bodies; FA, UEFA, FIFA, RFU & IRB.

4G pitches are…
- Without infill,
- Very low maintenance,
- Able to deliver the most accurate playing experience to traditional turf,
- Weatherproof and free-draining,
- Not currently accredited by regulatory bodies in the UK.

We were happy to be selected for a resurfacing project at @thekingsschoolchester in 2021. Offering over 28 different sports, they endeavour to provide the best surfaces for each and every sport, and we were delighted to provide them with a high-performance hockey pitch.

Let’s take a look back at the transformation.
