Surfaces removed
It has been a busy couple of days for the Team at Trent College, measuring and cutting the old surface to the rip up plan.

Ready for rolling each strip of turf up, before individually banding with tape and clips, with the aid of a telehandler and Q-fit bucket… As each roll weighs approximately 300kgs to 500kgs.

Once the turf has been rolled up and banded. The haulage company comes on to site for the Team to load the turf rolls, which are removed from site and re-used else where.

Carrying on with the surface removal the existing shock pad is also removed, to make way for the new McAdam to be installed..

Tarmacadam
Due issues with the macadam plant, the sub-base of the Cattern’s surface was delayed. With the tarmacadam overlay completed on Tuesday & Wednesday of week 3!

With thanks to Hunts Contractors.
The levels have been checked throughout the installation of the tarmacadam, this ensures when the shock pad is installed that it will be on an even surface.
